According to the Implementation Measures for Innovation Experimental Class of Chongqing College of Ecological Mechanics Future Technology (Trial) and the Project Management Measures for the Free Exploration Cultivation Plan Fund of Chongqing College of Ecological Mechanics Future Technology (Trial), in order to strengthen the cultivation of students' practical innovation ability and further promote the reform of research-based teaching mode centered on problems and topics, To further stimulate students' learning initiative, enthusiasm and creativity, and promote interdisciplinary integration, the College of Future Technology of Ecological Mechanics has separately set up the innovative training project of "Free Exploration Cultivation Program Fund of Future Technology College of Ecological Mechanics" (hereinafter referred to as the "Fund Project"), which inspires students' ambition and interest in advocating science and pursuing excellence through free exploration and independent practice. Expand students' subject expertise and improve their scientific literacy and research ability. The application guidelines for the 2023 "Free Exploration and Cultivation Project of the College of Future Technology of Ecological Mechanics" are hereby issued.

I. Project positioning and funding sources

 1. Project orientation: Expand students' professional knowledge and improve their scientific literacy and research ability.

 2. Source of funds: The fund comes from the special fund for the construction project of "Future Technical College of Ecological Mechanics".

Ⅱ. Project declaration and management

 1. Candidates for application: Undergraduate students of the ecological mechanics experimental class will lead the application as the project leader, and undergraduate students and master students in related majors will be encouraged to participate. Applicants should have excellent academic performance, strong academic ability, strong sense of innovation and independent thinking ability.

 2. Project topic selection: Proposed by individual students or student teams independently, combined with teachers' research projects and research guidance, or combined with technology research and development, product development and application prospects of off-campus units. Advocate interdisciplinary, highlight innovation. It is necessary to have relatively clear research content and objectives, and strive to achieve results with certain academic value and application value. Encourage original and exploratory project research.

 3. Application requirements: The project shall be led by the person in charge (applicant), and a team shall be formed for application. Other members of the team (participants) are generally no more than 5. In principle, there should be no less than 3 students in the experimental class of ecological mechanics in each project. The project applicant can only apply for 1 fund project, and the total number of fund projects that project participants participate in the declaration shall not exceed 2. If the project applicant is also a participant in another project, the total number of projects he/she undertakes shall not exceed 2.

 4. Project category: The project is divided into three levels: major project, key project and general project. The total number of projects approved in each academic year shall not exceed 10, of which no more than 2 are major projects and no more than 3 are key projects.

 5. Project cycle: Generally no more than two years (fill in reasonably according to the project research content), and the project must be completed before the project leader graduates.

 6. Advisor: The project should be equipped with an advisor, who should have a high academic level and strong scientific research ability, be enthusiastic to guide students to carry out free exploration and research, and provide necessary guidance and experimental conditions. Encourage each application project to hire outstanding entrepreneurs or industry experts as mentors.

 7. Project management: Please refer to the attached Project Management Measures for the Free Exploration Cultivation Plan Fund of the College of Future Technology of Ecological Mechanics (Trial) for details.

Ⅲ. Schedule

  1. The applicant shall fill in the "Application Form for the Free Exploration Cultivation Program Fund" (see attachment) and submit the paper application in triplication to the Research Center of Ecological Environment before December 13, 2023 (electronic version is also available).

 2. The working group office of the Innovation Experimental class of Chongqing College of Ecological Mechanics and Future Technology shall conduct the preliminary review of the project application according to the procedure, and organize the expert review. The list of approved projects and their grades will be announced before 18 December 2023.
